Auto Coverages

All the coverages associated with Commercial Auto Insurance policies are explained. Even if a business doesn’t have company vehicles they should still carry the coverages of Hired and Non Owned Auto Liability.

Commercial Auto

Commercial Auto insurance consists of the following parts:

Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability
If you or one of your employees are held liable for someone else’s injury or property damage due to your actions in a covered vehicle this will protect your business against financial loss.

Physical Damage (Collision)
Covers the damage caused by another vehicle or a stationary object, like a building, telephone pole, or guardrail.

Physical Damage (Comprehensive)
Covers damages caused by a variety of risks, including fire, lightning, theft, vandalism, hail and flood.

Hired Auto Physical Damage
Provides physical damage coverage for vehicles your business hires or borrows.

Hired Auto and Non-Owned Auto Liability
Coverage for bodily injury or property damage that occurs during the use, loading or unloading of rented or employee owned vehicles used for your business.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist
Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage protects you in case you are injured in an accident caused by the negligent operation of an uninsured auto or by a hit-and-run motorist. It also protects you in case you are injured by someone who has less liability coverage than necessary to cover the loss.

Medical Payments for You or Your Passengers
Whether an accident or struck by another vehicle, this provision pays your medical expenses (if they’re not covered by workers’ compensation) as well as those of your passengers.
